The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria(CBCN) elected a New President to replace the Archbishop of Jos, Most Rev. Dr. Ignatius Kaigama, who served two(2) tenures of three(3) years each before leaving office.
The Newly elected President, Most Rev Dr. Augustine Akubeze is the current Archbishop of Benin Diocese.
Other Officials includes;
Vice President :Bishop Lucius Ugorji
Secretary : Bishop Camilus Umoh.
Assistant Secretary : Bishop Charles Hammawa
The Election results were announced today( Feast of the Chair of St Peter) during the Evening Mass at St. Charles Lwanga Parish Apo-Abuja
