God is working on You

Whenever God wanted to bless some people in Bible times, he first changed their names. When a person's name does not capture what plans God had for that person, God changed his name. He changed Abram's name to Abraham; Abram means "father is exalted". But this does not capture what God wanted to make out of him. God did not only want to exalt him, but he wanted to make him the father of multitude. This was why God changed his name to Abraham(which means father of a multitude). He also changed Jacob's name to Israel. When God changed people's name, he transformed their characters as well to match with what sense he plan to make out of them.

There is eternal perspective to your life. God has a design for you. He wants to bring out an identity in you. Give him the time to do this in your life. To realize this eternal perspective, it may take some time. Be patient with God. First, he might need to refine your character into such that will match the very identity that he wants to create in you. When God will have finished with you, you would become a source of blessing to those people around you.
